CEDIA & IFA 2025
Event Recap
30/09/2025
IFA and CEDIA showed two sides of the same coin. On one hand, consumer audio is blending into broader electronics ecosystems. On the other, residential and custom installation markets are leaning into software-driven, design-conscious solutions. Both point to the same conclusion: audio is evolving fast.
At IFA in Berlin, with 1,900 exhibitors and 220,000 visitors, the audio halls felt more compact, with fewer big-name launches but plenty of lifestyle-driven refinements. Longer battery life, modular accessories, and content creator tools were in focus. AI was everywhere — sometimes buzzword, sometimes real utility — powering adaptive sound, voice isolation, and auto speaker optimization. The trend is clear: audio is becoming part of the wider consumer tech landscape.

At the CEDIA Expo, with 14,000 attendees and 400 brands, audio’s role in the connected home was front and center. Networked and software-driven systems, invisible and architectural speakers, and durable outdoor setups led the way, while premium brands reinforced that fidelity still matters. Though the show itself was more compact, the conversations were sharper, pointing toward integration, smarter design, and long-term value.
Our Technology Highlights
Across both events, StreamUnlimited showcased solutions that matched these industry shifts:
- Next-Gen Multiroom Audio – AES67 over Ethernet as well as Wi-Fi-based Multiroom streaming, enabling seamless, high-quality streaming across residential, commercial, and hybrid setups.
- MultiStream – run multiple independent audio streams from a single module, letting different zones or devices play distinct content simultaneously, simplifying hardware requirements while enhancing flexibility and scalability.
- High-End Wi-Fi Headphones – direct streaming from services like TIDAL and Qobuz, with support up to 384 kHz over Wi-Fi for true high-resolution playback.
- Stream1955 Module & Digital Carrier Board – the carrier board accelerates time-to-market by providing a ready-made foundation around the Stream1955, while still giving high-end brands the flexibility to implement their own custom clocking and select audio components for AD/DA conversion.
- Stream210 Module – a versatile, cost-effective platform for connected audio products, supporting Wi-Fi streaming with Bluetooth fallback for mobility. Designed for flexibility, it can serve use cases ranging from headphones to other compact audio devices.
- StreamAnalytics – providing brands with data-driven insights into how products are used, helping to shape smarter development and sharper strategies.
- Flexible Streamer Solutions – from modular setups like StreamAmp Solo to compact platforms such as Stream2Go: Cast.
Taken together, IFA and CEDIA underscored the same message: success in audio now depends on integration, adaptability, and long-term value. Consumers want products that fit into their lives seamlessly — whether at home, outdoors, or on the move. They expect designs that are elegant and unobtrusive, systems that can scale with their needs, and solutions that reflect sustainable values.
For brands, this means looking beyond sound quality alone. And for StreamUnlimited, it reinforced our core mission: to provide the platforms and tools that help audio brands deliver innovation that is technically advanced, design-conscious, and aligned with real-world use.
As the industry evolves, the real innovation lies not in the next “wow” product, but in creating solutions that connect seamlessly, scale efficiently, and stand the test of time — ensuring our partners are ready for whatever comes next.
