StreamUnlimited Event Recap: High End Munich, AXPONA & OTOTEN

27/06/2025

From Europe to Asia, 2025 has been so far a remarkable year for the high-end audio industry—and for StreamUnlimited. With strong showings at High End Munich, AXPONA (Chicago), and OTOTEN Tokyo, we’ve had the opportunity to connect with long-time partners, showcase groundbreaking demos, and highlight the innovations shaping the future of listening experiences.

High End Munich 2025

High End Munich has taken its final bow, cramming more than 500 hi-fi exhibitors into the MOC for four intense days of debuts and demos. With the show heading to Vienna next year, this closing Munich edition revealed the technologies—and partnerships—that will shape next-generation installs.

Qobuz Connect Launch
We had the pleasure of reconnecting with long-standing partners and meeting many new faces in the audio industry. With the official launch of Qobuz Connect, we are proud to have supported this release as a system integration partner, with StreamSDK 25.02, now production-ready and adopted by key brands.

Immersive Multichannel Audio Demos
Alongside our high-end streamer solutions, we featured two immersive multichannel audio demos at the show: one with a soundbar setup and another with a multichannel processor/preamplifier – both powered by our Stream1955 module. We showcased Apple Spatial Audio as well as high-bitrate immersive streaming using the Artist Connect feature.

Introducing Pure Audio Streaming
We also presented Pure Audio Streaming – a new high-resolution music platform focused on immersive formats like Auro-3D. This was one of its first public demos, giving visitors a chance to experience real-time multichannel playback in lossless quality.

Wi-Fi Headphones with Direct High-Res Streaming
We demonstrated our Wi-Fi headphone platform with built-in 192kHz streaming, offering direct access to TIDAL and Qobuz.

Powerful UI Capabilities with Stream1955
We also showcased how our Stream1955 module supports large color displays. With its integrated GPU, it supports modern, high-quality user interfaces, ideal for brands that see advanced UI as a key part of the customer experience.

The Industry Takeaway
This year’s High End Munich made it clear: the future of Hi-Fi is built on integration, flexibility, and longevity. Open control protocols (REST, WebSocket) and high-resolution multi-room audio integration including AES67 are becoming more accessible and robust, while modular hardware and upgradeable DSPs offer long-term flexibility. Many brands showcased remote service capabilities, enabling cloud-based diagnostics and maintenance. Design also took center stage, blending striking aesthetics with cutting-edge performance. With Munich wrapped up and Vienna getting ready to host in 2026, we look forward to welcoming you to our hometown—the heart of StreamUnlimited.

AXPONA 2025 (Chicago)

Walking through the halls of AXPONA 2025, one thing was clear: audio is evolving in fast and exciting directions. The show demonstrated how new technology is combining traditional formats like vinyl with modern all-in-one digital systems. Hi-res streaming, clean amplification, and minimalistic setups are redefining what high-end sound looks—and feels—like. For the first time, high-end car audio had its own spotlight, extending the listening experience beyond the living room.

At the StreamUnlimited booth, we focused on three core areas driving this shift: user interface innovation, pre-built HE building blocks enabling fast Stream1955 integration, and high-resolution wireless audio.

Stream1955 Carrier Board

This modular reference design supports high-performance audio processing, rich UI capabilities, and integration with premium streaming technologies. With pre-validated components and a flexible architecture, it’s a production-ready building block that reduces development time and risk.

Ototen 2025

Back in Asia, OTOTEN 2025 brought together the latest in home audio, headphones, and in-car sound. This year’s event featured a wide range of reference exhibits, product debuts, and immersive demos across both established and emerging audio brands.

We had the opportunity to engage with a broad audience of audio enthusiasts. The Wi-Fi headphone demo attracted younger attendees, while the soundbar setup impressed more traditional hi-fi listeners.

It was also great to see a wide range of network audio products using our StreamSDK across the show floor. Many companies highlighted lossless audio playback, especially using Qobuz and Qobuz Connect. As in previous years, car audio exhibits remained a key part of the event, offering a broader look at audio innovation across different environments.

From immersive rooms to compact setups, the show painted a clear picture of an industry evolving toward seamless streaming, smart interfaces, and adaptable design.

Looking Ahead

Across all three shows, we saw one clear shift: audio is becoming smarter, more connected, and more immersive. From modular streaming platforms to UI-ready reference designs, StreamUnlimited continues to focus on helping our partners stay ahead.

We’re thankful for everyone who stopped by our booths this year, and we’re especially excited to welcome the Hi-Fi world to our home base when High End Vienna debuts in 2026.
